General Summary The Sr. Manager, Human Resources collaborates with department leaders, cross-functional business partners, and HR colleagues across the business to assist in the design, development, and deployment of best in class talent life-cycle tools/programs (inclusive of associate communication & engagement, change management, exempt & non-exempt attraction and retention efforts, talent development and succession planning, organizational design, and associate/labor relations prevention and solution management). Recommends and implements programs, policies and events that create or reinforce a positive associate relations atmosphere.
Reports to: Senior Director, Human Resources
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Act as consultative HR Business partner to customer groups
Build influential relationships and demonstrate the ability to engage with leaders at various levels to advance deliverables and outcomes
Guide and influence leadership to enhance the associate experience and engagement
Support building an increasingly diverse community and fostering an inclusive culture
Guide leadership in organizational design and talent planning decisions
Operate as primary talent development resource for business partners - know the talent, understand the development needs and drive value add succession and organization design efforts
Lead team of HR professionals based in multiple locations distribution and logistic center locations
Identify synergies and efficiencies within our HR processes and programs across the sourcing and supply chain organization. Conduct continuous evaluation of the needs of our sourcing and supply chain teams while also implementing consistent practices across multiple locations.
Drive process and guide managers and associates through the performance management process, including investigating performance concerns as necessary
Manage employee relations issues for all levels of the organization, including leadership, (e.g., investigating employee and/or supervisor complaints regarding conduct, performance, or attendance, mediation between employees, monitoring diversity/equal employment opportunity program compliance, etc.)
Provide coaching to associates regarding dealing with difficult people or situations, career paths, etc.
In partnership with Supply Chain leadership, ensure effective staffing plans are created for each peak season as well as identifying staffing needs for non-peak time periods
Specific to the East Coast Transportation and Logistics Center: Lead recruiting for hourly, multi incumbent positions
In partnership with Supply Chain leadership, Compensation, and Recruiting identify associate incentive strategy. Examples include: peak season incentive strategy, sign on bonus needs by position, referral bonuses, etc.
Recommend HR focused policies, practices, and procedures for the organization.
Direct the interpretation and application of established HR policies
Creates HR-specific communications (e.g., employment terms and conditions, company codes of conduct, workforce reductions, etc)
Promotes a positive workplace environment through employee communication and engagement.
Manage company projects as required

Qualifications
Experience:
10+ years progressive experience in human resources with at least 3 5 years in associate relations and 3 5 years in a manager level position
Experience managing HR across multiple locations and states
Experience managing HR for large hourly population
Demonstrated business acumen and retail knowledge
Experience handling complicated associate relations issues and investigations
Demonstrated courage in managing difficult interactions at all levels
Comfortable managing multi-faceted projects in conjunction with normal activities
Ability to identify, analyze, develop solutions and make decisions on complex or unique issues
Effective communications skillsability to facilitate, influence and impact at all levels
Ability to juggle competing customer groups needs
PC-based software skills using Microsoft Office suite
Preferred Qualifications:
Distribution and supply chain experience
PHR/SPHR certification
Location Requirements:
Must work from our East Coast Transportation and Logistics Center approximately 50% of time Westampton, NJ
Position is eligible for hybrid work from home
Must have the ability to travel to other distribution and logistic centers 10 15% of time
Education:
B.S. Degree in Human Resources or Business or equivalent experience
