Summary: An AS9100 certified Aerospace Manufacturing Company specializing in the design and fabrication of electronic cable assemblies is seeking a full time Production Manager.
The Production Manager will lead a team of approximately 30 employees to achieve targets established for safety, delivery/service, quality, cost, and continuous improvement. Engages all employees in continuous improvement and fosters teamwork and a positive work environment while developing a culture of ownership and accountability. This position reports directly to the General Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. [Other duties may be assigned.]
As a member of the Trek management team, participates in regular reviews, strategy, and action plans to drive growth and improvements in the business.
Responsible for production/facility safety, environmental, quality and maintenance.
Monitors production, equipment, and labor capacity, identify and drive actions required to meet production needs.
Tracks and reports key performance data (KPIs) related to production, picking, and assembly operations. Set goals, and drive/motivate the team to achieve targeted results.
Develops/revises standard operational procedures (SOPs) and working practices. Observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.
AS9100 QMS (Quality Management System) understands AS9100 requirements, Treks Quality System/Manual, and how processes related to production operate within and comply with these requirements.
Leads audit host for production related processes during all customer and 3rd party audits.
Identifies required staffing; interview, hire, train and develop employees.
Collaborates and partners with Engineering and Supply Chain departments, plan production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for picking components and assembling products.
Establishes plans for lean, 5S, theory of constraints, continuous improvement, and other manufacturing and process tools and processes to eliminate waste and drives efficiency in Trek production people, processes, and equipment.
Prepares operational schedules and coordinates picking and assembly activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.
Generates and review production and operating reports and resolves operational and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
Resolves worker grievances or submits unsettled grievances to General Manager for action
Complies with all policies.
Complies with all applicable elements of the Quality Management System.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $79,000.00 per year
