This position is responsible for managing general inbound Transportation and Logistics support. Additionally, work with cross-functional teams to identify operational and financial opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a portfolio of Transportation and Logistics lanes ensuring consistent product availability and the highest levels of customer experience.
Responsible for coordination, track & trace and exception management for assigned Transportation and Logistics lanes.
Primary point of contact for sites and Transportation and Logistics providers to communicate issues affecting shipment flows, including but not limited to missing documentation, freight delays, quality events and shipping receiving delays.
Collaborate with internal & external business partners, including Source, Planning, manufacturing, and carriers to deliver results across critical metrics owned by Transportation and Logistics such as on-time delivery, cost improvement programs, freight spend performance vs. budget, security infraction rates, and quality deliverables.
Lead operational activities to support sourcing bids for various intra-regional transport moves; including requirements, baseline validation and lane implementation to pre-established metrics. Provide support for event management in other geographical regions based on criticality of issues.
Lead/participate in operational vendor management meetings (business reviews, reporting on operational vendor performance) and lead day to day tactical relationship with the vendors.
Utilize data to develop analyses that uncover insights and savings opportunities; provide input and analyse strategic Transportation and Logistics supply chain requirements.
Lead process improvement projects leveraging PM methodologies like Six Sigma, FPX, etc., to drive reliability and or cost efficiencies.
Oversee specified Transportation and Logistics services, including freight management, strategic Transportation and Logistics analysis, compliance, claims, freight payment, import/export services, and deviations.
Ensure compliance with Transportation and Logistics-related internal controls, accruals and support proper visibility for controlling functions controls across the organization.
Assist in the development of Transportation and Logistics budgets and operational forecasts.
Transform data-analysis into actionable insights with tangible outcomes. Predict trends facilitating the process of long-term planning and facilitating the monitoring and controls to prevent issues and increase transport performance.
Qualifications
Education:
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in supply chain, finance, accounting, business administration, or related field is required.
Required:
A minimum of 6 years of work experience in business related areas with focus on Transportation and Logistics operations, operational financial controls/budgeting, and cost-savings generation/management.
Strong understanding of Transportation and Logistics operations, and financial controls.
Experience with analysis, reporting, and modeling.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
Ability to create executive and operational presentations views to monitor performance.
Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.
Advance knowledge in MS Excel.
Preferred:
Knowledge of SAP, TMS, Transportation and Logistics Visibility solutions or other controlling systems related.
Excellent organizational, time management and project planning skills; must be able to multi-task, problem solve, prioritize, and work under pressure.
Business acumen with experience in analyzing large structured/unstructured datasets and enabling smarter data discovery and insights out of the data.
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $90,000 to $144,900.
