Position Summary
Executive Director of E2E Network Supply Planning & Product Planning oversees coordination of supply chain activities by product across the value chain and all horizons, interfacing with SPLs and GO teams as the product's Supply Chain expert and representative. The Executive Director of E2E Network Supply Planning & Product Planning also manages the development of detailed supply plans by value chain stage (from ~3-36-month horizon) across internal/external network nodes, translating demand net requirements into supply plans based on series of existing network constraints.

This role reports directly to the Vice President, Pharma Global Supply Chain, and will represent Supply Chain expertise in product planning for Pharma brands in key operations and leadership forums.
Key Responsibilities

Manage Supply Chain Product Planning Process for the Pharma brands and strategic supply planning, including translating brand strategy (GO Team) into supply chain strategy (IPT), long range capacity planning for capex and sourcing decisions based on commercial LTFP (Long Term Financial Plan) and pipeline scenarios.
Develop & manage E2E supply plans to optimize business results for key growth brands including inventory planning, budget volume planning, master supply plan management, and escalated issue management
Lead the Supply Chain Product planning team to

Serve as brand escalation point across GSC and ensure supply plans overall align to E2E requirements
Manage RST to track, influence, and plan for product changes within the supply chain
Lead Supply Chain Sub-Team to ensure clear communication of brand strategy & projects, as well as supply chain risk/opps
Act as GSC representative on SCC for alliance management
Endorse final plan and risks/opps identified during the IPT cycle
What-if scenario analysis: provide guidance to sub-team on desired outcome, planning parameters, and other variables to analyze. Flexibility to deal with ranges, breakpoints and book end analysis.
Serve as Allocation Team Lead (for risk levels 2-4); lead communications to stakeholders
Ensure supply chain strategy (sourcing plans, inventory strategy, flavor management, etc) is clearly communicated to planning teams

Manage FG orders and inventory levels at distribution hubs, driving adjustments inside firm period for packaging site orders, as well as longer term (3-36 month) FG planning, both constrained scenarios and unconstrained plans
Oversee SCPL-driven value chain management within supply planning horizon, ensuring E2E product plans tie and constraints can be addressed
Oversee Pharma Network Planning Process to develop a Long-Range Master Plan for all manufacturing sites, both internal sites and CMOs, with a focus on long term strategic capacity planning
Lead team of Network Supply Planners (NSPs) in the development of feasible master Supply Plans to achieve Customer Service levels and inventory turns per agreed target levels at all nodes of the network supply chain, including what-if scenarios in response to anticipated changes in demand or supply
Provide analytics that support on target service levels to balance capacity utilizations and address BCM requirement at each node
Provide input to the Global Supply Review process to incorporate major supply issues to the Network plan and any major deviations to the budget and/or previous plan.
Appropriate, but robust integration with other global planning processes, particularly IPT, LTFP, Inventory, GSR and S&OP, in addition to collaboration with OpU and Customer Partnership & Supply Orchestration (CPSO) stakeholders
Support Global Demand and S&OP Business Owner to develop Demand Review; Product Review; Review of GPS Product Strategies; Financial Reconciliation and Management Business Review forums
Align product-specific demand and supply assumptions with GPS and enterprise product stakeholders
Maintain master data standards
Lead, manage, and develop the assigned team of employees
Develop the right functional organization structure and staffing plan to meet the functional, GPS and BMS objectives of cost, service and quality. Ensure the right person (talent) is doing the right work (key objectives) at the right time (priorities)
Ensure culture of performance, collaboration, and accountability where individuals are valued, recognized, and aligned to the BMS Mission & GPS strategy
Support Vice President, Pharma Global Supply Chain to ensure alignment with Global GPS Planning Processes

B.S. or BA in supply chain management, science and/or engineering (biotechnology, engineering or related sciences). M.B.A or advanced degree, diploma or certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., APICS CPIM or CSCP certification) strongly preferred


Required 10+ years of supply chain management and planning experience for a reputed, global or multi-plant Biotech, Pharmaceutical or Consumer Product company utilizing world class supply chain planning and execution processes with at least 3 of those years as a manager.
Required: Experience with site capacity planning and knowledge of Biotech, Pharmaceutical Sales & Operations Planning processes.
Strongly Preferred: Experience with ERP and Advanced Planning Systems (preferably Kinaxis Rapid Response, SAP ECC, BW/BI, SNP APO).
Good understanding and exposure to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and other regulatory requirements
Experience in developing and implementing world class, global supply chain planning processes and managing them through deployment of global advanced planning and scheduling systems
Exposure and experience in Biotech / Pharmaceutical manufacturing process, principles and practices; preferably at production site and headquarters level
Experience in working internationally in a fast paced, reputable global Biotech / Pharmaceutical or Consumer company organized in a matrix structure
Demonstrated leadership capabilities, especially in building highly effective, world class, global teams
Ability to work in a matrix environment and build strong relationships by being transparent, reliable, and delivering on commitments.
Demonstrated capability in implementing challenging goals, objectives and practices in a complex and ambiguous environment
Ability to provide innovative ideas to optimize supply chain and generate new ideas or alternatives that create value including seeking new information and external insights.
Certification or exposure to Operational Excellence/Continuous Improvement concepts such as E2E value stream mapping.
