Summary of Position:
The Chief Financial Officer will direct and oversee all of the financial activities of our company, is responsible for developing and implementing data analysis, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality. The CFO will develop analysis and reporting capabilities in order to turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions.
Job Duties / Responsibilities / Essential Functions:
- Oversee Accounting Department, budget preparation, and audit functions.
- Partner with other department heads to monitor each department and make recommendations.
- Direct the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and tax returns.
- Compares sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
- Reviews the planning process and suggests improvements to current methods.
- Works with the CEO and other executives to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the planning process.
- Studies long-range economic trends and projects their impact on future growth in sales and market share.
- Identifies opportunities for expansion into new product areas.
- Identifies and addresses financial risks within the business.
- Maintains, tests and improves business and systems operations.
- Identifies and capitalizes on improvement opportunities.
- Evaluates the performance of projects to ensure that targets and deadlines are met.
Required Knowledge /Skills / Abilities / Qualifications:
- Excellent management and supervisory skills
- Proven working experience as a data analyst or business data
- Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
- Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc.), databases (SQL etc.), programming (XML, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks)
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc.)
- Well-developed interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Superior numeric skills.
- Adept at queries, report writing and presenting.
- Strong analytical and reasoning abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Required Education / Certifications:
- BS in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics BS/BA.
- A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in financial management required.
- Experience dealing with multiple entities is preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.
