Job Summary
As an administrative support to HR Operations, the HR Coordinator (HRC) provides frontline response to employees and management on Human Resources related issues. Successful HRC will act as employee champion and HR generalist. HRC supports and responds to HR-related needs for the HR Business Partners and their designated departments. The HRC triages, as appropriate, HR related questions to HRBPs or HR Centers of Excellence to support in the delivery of value added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. The HRC maintains an effective level of HR operations literacy and knowledge of the businesses he/she supports to ensure operational needs are being met.
Essential Functions
Adheres to Jefferson Code of Conduct and all policies
Demonstrates knowledge and compliance with the Hospital Safety and Infection Control policies as required by OSHA and the Patient Safety Program.
Acts as coordinator for 3 hospital campuses of approximately 4,000 employees
Maintains high level of confidentiality in all areas
Acts as the primary contact for the employees and managers accessing the HR Operations Office
Handles tier one level inquiries regarding HR policy, benefits, payroll and assesses need for escalaton and to which HRBP or HR Service Center or Center of Excellence
Supports the delivery of HR processes for the client
Accountable for HR service delivery satisfaction to client.
Acts as the administrative support to Director, HRBPs and Generalist
Processes accounts payables and receivables pertaining to HR function
Partner with HRBPs, as appropriate, to address escalated tier 2 employee issues/situations.
Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with Jefferson s SCOR values.
Coordinates employee service events and responds to inquiries about service time
Manages division unemployment claims in a timely and efficient manner utilizing system resources and knowledge of business model û both clinical and non-clinical
Manages online employee file room and process to include I-9 and license certification as part of new hire orientation
Audit and update PeopleSoft requests
Manages employment verification process
Assist with special projects such as employee recognition and service events and other programs
May support client group under direct supervision of a HR partner
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Education:
Bachelors Degree Preferred
OR
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional business experience required. Minimum of 3 years in HR function or related capacity.
Desire to have a career in HR or a plus
