Job Summary
Andalusia Estate is approximately 90 acres located 13 miles from Philadelphia on the Delaware River in Lower Bucks County, PA. The property is divided in half, with one side owned by Andalusia Foundation and open to the public as a museum and gardens. The other side of the property remains a private residence. The Andalusia grounds are comprised of mature trees, formal gardens, mixed perennial beds, a rose garden, cut flower gardens, expansive hedging, meadows and pastures. The property also has a small greenhouse and solarium. Andalusia is managed by a full time garden and grounds staff of four. This position would be part of the grounds staff and would report to the Head Gardener.
Maintenance person would be involved in duties such as but not limited to:
Opening and closing for all tours
Cleaning outside furniture
Daily upkeep of the pool
Lawn mowing, trimming, and leaf pick up
Mulching, weeding, and watering plants
Gutter cleaning
Minor house repairs and painting
Job Type: Part Time Seasonal Maintenance person
Competitive salary based on experience
Candidates must :
Work as a team or independently
Do physical work including bending, stooping, reaching, climbing ladders, and lift 30-60lbs
Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions(e.g. heat, cold, light rain)
Have a valid drivers license and be able to work with a variety of equipment
Individuals should have some experience in grounds maintenance, and experience / knowledge of building maintenance
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Schedule:
8 hour shift
Day shift
