Mavuno Harvest is seeking a Assistant Production Manager to support our manufacturing operations for dried fruit and nuts. This role requires a punctual, ambitious individual with a knack for mechanics, good managerial skills, and a willingness to learn. A candidate should embody our motto: Listen, Learn, Work Hard.
Responsibilities
Conduct equipment inspections and coordinate maintenance activities as needed.
Assist the Production Manager in overseeing daily production operations.
Support production staff, provide training, and ensure adherence to protocols.
Monitor processes, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements for efficiency.
Maintain strict compliance with food safety standards and company policies.
Requirements
Punctual, adaptable, and eager to learn.
Ambitious and willing to contribute to operational growth.
Able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
Flexibility to work occasional weekends or extended hours based on production needs.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional relevant education or certifications are a plus.
Able to work 2nd shift or weekends when needed.
Qualifications
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
Prior experience in manufacturing with knowledge of food safety is preferred
Organizational and managerial skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in basic computer applications.
Prior work experience in the field is not required for a candidate who can demonstrate a strong work ethic, punctuality, and an ability to learn.
