McLane Environmental, LLC is currently seeking candidates for an entry- to mid-level Environmental Scientist / GIS Analyst position for our Princeton, New Jersey office. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work as a part of a collegial and highly talented team on diverse ground water-related projects, including water supply issues, wastewater disposal, contaminant transport, site remediation, saltwater intrusion, and environmental dispute resolution.
The candidate should have a strong ability to compile, manage, interpret, and present environmental data. The position requires a BS degree in environmental science, engineering, geoscience or related discipline; experience with GIS software; experience with data management and graphics software; a working knowledge of geology and hydrogeology; and strong quantitative and communication skills. The successful candidate should have experience in analyzing spatial data and generating maps using GIS; conducting basic internet information searches; the ability to compile, organize, synthesize and perform simple analyses of environmental data using standard software; and should function well in a team environment. Experience with website development and programming is considered a plus.
Responsibilities for the Environmental Scientist position include, but are not limited to:
Compiling and analyzing spatial data in GIS, and generating maps and figures
Review and synthesis of hydrogeologic studies, environmental reports, and other technical documents and information
Conducting project-related research
Compilation and review of environmental datasets
Assisting senior staff with a range of tasks, including 2D and 3D data visualization and analysis, analysis of aquifer and groundwater quality data, and groundwater modeling
Preparation of technical reports, graphics and client presentations
Assistance with business development and marketing activities
