You possess a minimum of 2 years of Supply Chain knowledge, Project Management / Business Process development or federal government experience as well as, working knowledge of GS1 Standards or the ability to learn them quickly. In addition, you are able to utilize your effective presentation / collaboration skills to extract information and articulate that into a plan.
What you will do:
In short, you will be responsible and accountable for planning, facilitating, tracking, and communicating the Market Development Team OGSM (Objectives, Goals, Strategies and Measures) deliverables as they relate to the government business plan. This includes supporting GS1 US government team in executing strategies and plans to increase education and adoption of GS1 and collaborating with GS1 US internal teams and members, GS1 Member Organizations (MO), NGOs and government agency staff to identify areas/trends, gaps, and opportunities to leverage GS1 Standards.
You will support existing or new government projects and programs and drive outreach/education on GS1 Standards/GS1 US to government agencies and other key stakeholders. In addition, you will coordinate presentations on GS1 US government initiatives and work to internal and external stakeholders.
Finally, you will manage a cross-functional team to discuss, review and act upon identified government activities, which could include providing comments to federal agencies, determine what workgroups and events GS1 US should engage in. Candidates will support key educational outreach initiatives, projects and pilots with agencies including, but not limited to U.S. Customs Border Protection (CBP), U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
