Job Summary: We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Election Poll Workers.
As a Poll Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring fair and accurate elections by assisting voters and maintaining the integrity of the voting process. This is a temporary position that offers an opportunity to actively participate in the democratic process.
Responsibilities: - Set up and prepare the polling location prior to opening - Greet and assist voters with checking in and verifying their eligibility - Provide guidance on voting procedures and answer questions from voters - Operate voting equipment and assist with troubleshooting, if needed - Maintain order and security at the polling location - Collect and record data accurately and securely - Ensure compliance with election laws and regulations - Assist with closing procedures at the end of the voting day Experience: - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data collection - Excellent public speaking and interpersonal skills - Proficiency in social media management for disseminating election-related information - Ability to manage projects effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines -
Experience in addiction counseling or public health is a plus - Familiarity with volunteer management, recruiting, and fundraising is desirable - Willingness to educate oneself on election laws, regulations, and procedures Please note that all positions must be paid, including internship positions.
