Qualifications for Teacher Assistant:CDA
· Prior experience working in Child Care
· Must pass all background checks including child abuse, FBI, criminal history, and national sex offender registry.
. Completion of CPR and First Aid Certification
· Strong knowledge of educational techniques and methods for teaching young children
· Patient and supportive approach to the learning process
· Enthusiastic and encouraging
· Ability to stand and move around for long hours at a time while teaching
Job Responsibilities
. Attends professional development and training related to STEM programs and methodologies, staying abreast of current research.
. Assist with implementing STEM activities inside and outside the classroom.
. Assist in implementing developmentally appropriate activities that foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
. Assist in modifying the general education curriculum for students with disabilities based upon a variety of instructional techniques and technologies.
. Maintain a classroom with STEM toys and materials to constantly promote exploration and stimulate young minds.
. Interact with other teachers and administrative staff as needed.
