QUALIFICATIONS
1. Prior experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
2. Ability to lift.
3. High School Diploma or GED.
4. Able to work in team environment.
5. Willing to learn and take direction.
ESY CLASSROOM ASSISTANT:
Assist the certified teacher and cooperate in a supportive role carrying out developmentally appropriate activities. Promote the health and education of the children and to attend to their safety and welfare.
One-on-One Assistant:
The one-on-one assistant is assigned to an individual student to perform the duties as described in their IEP's. The one-on-one assistant works under the directionof the classroom teacher and/or certified staff to promote the target student's academic achievement, behavioral growth, and personal development. The one-on-one assistant must adapt to the particular educational/therapeutic needs of the student(s).
