REPORTS TO: New Brunswick and Perth Amboy Center Directors


The Enrollment and Outreach Manager will support the New Brunswick and Perth Amboy Centers, and will work closely with the Center Directors on development of an enrollment and outreach strategy targeted at the specific and unique needs of the New Brunswick and Perth Amboy communities. This position will spend half the time working at the New Brunswick Center and half at the Perth Amboy Center.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:



Serves as a key leader in ensuring that all Enrollment Management functional areas at the Urban Centers have processes, policies, technology, and resources necessary to achieve enrollment and student success goals in alignment with institutional goals.
Serves a point of contact to ensure recruited students are navigating college resources and connecting to support systems.
Identifies and represents the Centers and its programming at local venues and professional settings to promote center programming and increase enrollment.
Follows best practices to develop innovative enrollment strategies to meet recruitment and retention strategies of the Centers, collaborating efforts with internal team.
Serves as liaison with the Colleges main campus as assigned by Center Directors and assures that key initiatives and projects are well represented at key events on campus and externally.
Implements and maintains a data tracking and evaluation system to evaluate the progress of students recruited from outreach through enrollment and retention.
Provides information to external partners that will guide programs and services offered through college credit and non-credit programming.
Leads information sessions on non-credit classes and programs in Spanish and/or English.
Share trends, new funding or partnership opportunities to strengthen key initiatives identified by Center Directors.
Collaborates with the Center Directors to identify key marketing, social media, and public relations content.
Coordinates and/or provides orientation for special recruitment initiatives for Enrollment Services Assistants and work studies.
Prepares monthly statistical reports for the Center Directors covering external outreach and special presentations.
Plans and coordinates key work assignments, data collection, and satisfaction surveys in alignment with enrollment objectives.
Monitors and prepares biweekly reports on outreach efforts for call, e-mail and social media enrollment, and retention initiatives.
Uses data to identify student cohorts for special recruitment events.
Performs other duties as assigned.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


Bachelors degree
Three (3) years of relevant work experience performing enrollment, recruitment, and outreach related functions
Experience working independently and in a team environment



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Experience in college recruitment, advising, and program administration
Experience with managing social media
Knowledge of the needs of the communities of New Brunswick and Perth Amboy
Persuasive communication and public speaking skills
Familiarity with Middlesex County
Strong MS skills
Able to drive/travel locally


SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: SCHEDULE: Monday through Thursday from 11:00 am 7:00 pm, Fridays 9:00 am 5:00 pm, with occasional weekends for special events or to provide on-site administrative coverage
Two (2) days in New Brunswick and 2 days in Perth Amboy, and alternating Fridays
RETIREMENT: Pension Eligible
Any Middlesex College employee hired after September 1, 2011 will have to meet the New Jersey residency law requirement.
This is a specially funded position, dependent for its existence upon federal, State, or other non-College operating funds, and is not funded pursuant to the regular College budget. Continued employment is always contingent upon satisfactory performance and College needs. Grant funded positions are also contingent upon continued funding. This appointment is for the specified period only. Employment beyond the expiration date of the grant is subject to appropriate provisions of existing collectively bargained agreements in effect at the time for employees covered by those agreements.
