The New Jersey Academy of Family Physicians (NJAFP) is a not-for-profit organization that works with physicians across New Jersey to transform healthcare. The NJAFP has been advancing the cause of family physicians and their patients for over 50 years. With over 2,000 members, including active practicing family physicians, residents in family medicine, and medical students interested in the specialty, the NJAFP is the largest primary care medical society in the state and a chapter of the American Academy of Family Physicians. The mission of NJAFP is to promote excellence in the standards and practice of Family Medicine to benefit the citizens of the state of New Jersey.
General Position DescriptionThe Program Manager manages all aspects of assigned NJAFP grant-funded programs, including practice transformation, continuing medical education (CME) and quality improvement initiatives. These programs are funded by both private and public grantors. This position is a full-time remote position with some local and regional travel for organization or project-related activities.
Responsibilities:
Serve as Project Manager for assigned NJAFP grant-funded programs, including but not limited to development and management of the project plan; implementation; budget; communications plan; and status reports
Manage the day-to-day operations of the program to assure compliance with the grant
Serve as liaison between internal and external program stakeholders and the NJAFP
Manage execution of all faculty and practice documentation, such as LOAs/MOUs/participation agreements/contracts, data use agreements, business associates agreements, provider/staff rosters and practice profiles
Coordinate and manage ongoing program team meetings, including scheduling, agenda and monitoring completion of follow up activities
Ensure that all deliverables are accounted for in the budget and spent down as promised to the funder
Develop and/or manage development of program-related communications, including but not limited to: creating content for press releases, website content, social media outlets, etc.
Support development of program curriculum in coordination with faculty and NJAFP staff
Work with NJAFPÆs education department in aligning content and securing CME credit for program participants when applicable
Develop an evaluation plan that regularly measures project progress but also identifies any barriers to success
Work with NJAFP practice-based team to ensure timely and accurate reporting from practice sites
Support the coordination and participate in NJAFP-sponsored events (e.g., Annual Meeting) as needed
Represent NJAFP and family medicine at relevant stakeholder events and committees
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 yearsÆ experience in program management; experience with Continuing Medical Education and/or quality improvement activities preferred
BA or BS degree in related field required
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to lead and motivate project teams
Excellent prioritization skills
Able to work autonomously
Able to travel locally, typically within a 2-hour radius of home or office location
Able to travel nationally, as needed, for program-related presentations and conferences
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
