A busy, group optometric practice is looking for a part time medical receptionist to join our team. We are a well established, full scope, high-tech optometric practice. Our entire office is computerized utilizing electronic health records, so applicants must have strong computer skills. Experience is not required. We are willing to train any qualified, motivated applicants. Availability to work a flexible schedule is a must.
We are looking for a dynamic individual with the following characteristics:
Detail oriented
Ability to multitask and manage time wisely
Strong communication and relationship building skills
An outgoing, friendly personality
Position Description:
Welcome and check in patients as they arrive at the office
Schedule and verify appointments and ensure insurance coverage is accurate
Build team commitment to high standards of service, exceeding customer expectations
Answer incoming calls, providing assistance to the patient or rerouting the calls to the appropriate department
Complete patients visits by ensuring all of their needs were met, checking them out and collecting the appropriate payment
Be able to navigate the medical records to find pertinent patient information as needed
Once integrated into the office, acquire the skills necessary to help in other areas as needed
