A multiple location medical practice looking for a dedicated knowledgeable Medical Receptionist. As a part of the team, the candidate will be responsible for interacting with patients and families that visit the office. Candidate must possess excellent customer service skills while answering calls or having direct contact with patients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reviews and ensures completeness of Welcome Packet with patients. Update appointment calendar for all patients (i.e., check-in, check-out, cancellation, no-show, etc.) in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). EClinical Works experience is helpful.
Accurately executes the OP Payment Intake Process when taking patient payments.
Regularly collects and keeps updated patient consents, patient IDs, insurance cards, patient demographic information and obtains newly signed consent forms when needed.
Informs patients of service payments, co-payments, and no-show/cancellation fees; collect payments; and documents on the electronic medical record.
Answers incoming calls; conducts warm transfers of calls to appropriate areas; or relays messages when appropriate.
Completes appointment reminder confirmation contacts according to procedure for all clients receiving clinical services.
Manages all appointments on the daily appointment calendar including new schedules and rescheduling.
Checking patients Benefits.
Getting lab reports and medical records.
Spanish fluency is a MUST!
