Job Description:
PURPOSE OF JOB: Perform routine medical record/chart maintenance (locate, log, retrieve, and file all medical records) and abstract specific information from medical records/charts for quality improvement and billing purposes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Operate office systems, such as telephone, medical record software, and off-site storage retrieval program.
2. Retrieving and Retaining Information
- Observing, receiving, filing, scanning, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources as the Medical Record Coordinator.
3. Customer and Personal Service
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
4. Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
V. QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Experience: One year related experience preferred
