Job Summary:
The administrative assistant, working closely with the Clinical Initiatives Manager, to promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization. The role of the WC/PIP Administrative Assistant is to understand the daily needs of the department, interpreting priorities and maintaining an efficient work environment. The WC/PIP Administrative Assistant will work directly with practice staff to understand the flow of the office and to ensure all needs are met for each patients? individual needs. The WC/PIP Administrative Assistant will uphold HIPPA, maintain patient records, explain common medical procedures and assist in the overall success of the department.

Essential & Non-Essential Job Functions/Position Responsibilities:
The Administrative Assistant performs a wide range of duties, including, but not limited to the following:
Assist patients, claim adjusters, and attorneys with all their needs as it relates to workers comp or personal injury related claims.
Assist patients who have been injured at work or in a motor vehicle accident with appointments for the doctors.
Assist attorneys in getting the correct paperwork and information they may need.
Work with attorneys and the doctors to set up IMEs and Narrative Reports.
Verify that the pertinent information regarding the patient's accident is notated in the doctor's office note and make sure the claim adjuster is up to date with their claimant's care.
Verify claims are open and active and their medicals bills will be covered. Assist all callers as needed and transfer accordingly in a friendly informative manner while advising caller if a direct number could be dialed next time they call.
Maintain open communication lines with all staff.
Attend meetings, collect data, and use to develop weekly/monthly/yearly reports, compose meeting minutes, and deliver presentations/reports to internal and external stakeholders, as required.
Perform other duties as assigned in support of mission and as required to ensure delivery of consistent high-quality services.
