Description:

Position Summary:
The Director of Strategic Business Planning (Operational Implementation) will lead the business case validation process for the design of the Value Chain Network Footprint that will support BBUÆs future commercial growth strategy (3-5-10+ years). They will be the primary interface with the Value Chain Optimization Team (formerly Llamasoft) to ensure accurate business inputs and financial assumptions are reflected in all recommendations. They will partner closely with the Business Strategy team and cross functional teammates (finance, labor relations, manufacturing, distribution) to develop and implement a consistent planning and approval process. Upon cross-functional alignment and senior leader approval, they will facilitate project implementation and transition to the appropriate stakeholder. They will lead and coach two managers who will provide analytical support and mange business case implementation.
Success will be measured by the identification, approval and implementation of the 3-5-10+ year plans that will deliver the optimal Value Chain Network Footprint.
Key Job Responsibilities:

Translate the CompanyÆs strategic business plans to actionable, quantifiable, and measurable supply chain changes
Validate existing and future commercial brand category strategies and growth assumptions
Articulate the strategic business planning vision and scope of work to relevant stakeholders, including senior- and executive-level management.
Apply analytics and structure plans to solve complex problems.
Analyze findings to develop insights and recommendations for senior management.
Coordinate cross-functional collaboration to ensure execution of initiatives.
Manage assignments and resources over discrete time periods with minimal intervention.
Leverage technical, analytical, interpersonal, and management skills to implement projects across the organization.
Impact company profit and loss through measurable supply chain Transportation and Logistics projects.
Assure associates engaged in or affected by strategy projects possess the operational capabilities to achieve business strategy and project goals.
Engage and collaborate with individuals at all levels and across functional and geographic areas.
Empower and hold team accountable to successfully achieve business initiatives.
Drive continuous improvement.

Education and Work History:

BachelorÆs Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Transportation and Logistics or Finance, MBA preferred.
A combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted.

Ideal candidate will possess:

Eight or more years of business management, supply chain Transportation and Logistics or finance experience in the food sales or relevant responsibilities in comparable industry.
Demonstrated problem solving ability, including strong conceptual and analytical skills and ability to turn findings into executable plans.
Experience in leading capital projects from origination to approval and through implementation
Experience leading multiple salaried associates.
Excellent presentation and written/oral communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively negotiate and influence others.
Strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills.
Computer skills and proficiency, specifically PowerPoint, Excel, and Word are required..
25% travel throughout BBU.
