Business Relationship Manager - Job Description
At Life Psychotherapy, our mission is to create a space where people feel welcome when they are overwhelmed and under stress. Whether people are coping with personal mental health issues, trouble with work, home, or friendships, we are here to help. Along with individual, couples, family and group psychotherapy, we also provide a variety of psychoeducational workshops to enhance personal growth and development. Many of our patients are successful, growth-focused individuals who turn to us as a source of support and education in matters of day-to-day life.
Our team consists of a diverse group of practitioners with our focus being on providing holistic wellness services. We are currently seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team as an Business Relationship Manager for our East Brunswick, Freehold and Little Silver locations.
We are looking for a dedicated, ultra-positive and high-energy professional to help us run our offices. In this position æBusiness Relationship ManagerÆ will work closely with the staff and therapists, to help with day-to-day running of the practice operations. Primary responsibilities:
Office and Business Planning - Accountable for running the day to day operations of the practice e.g. Ensure the office is good standing / upkeep / supplies (i.e. ink, paper) etc., as well as, work closely with management on ongoing projects and initiatives. E.g. Community Outreach, Marketing, Data Analytics, Structuring relevant programs (such as our Internship Program), etc, send out weekly invoices to the therapists
Intake / Patient engagement - dealing with intakes, appointments, and any patient related matter. First hand exposure to new patients. Requires exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to navigate through urgent requests; Engagement with patients as they come into our practice and via phone. Working closely with patients and completing intakes for new patients, including insurance verification, working with Therapists to assign the patient based on best fit, scheduling etc.
Onboarding new therapists - Play a key role in posting therapists positions, interviewing and onboarding new therapists. Once therapists are on boarded the Business Relationship Manager will be the primary contact for all therapists questions. This person will also handle Insurance paneling and managing the CAQH system.
Intern supervisor - Life Psychotherapy runs an internship program and the Business Relationship Manager will oversee the training and supervision of the tasks that are applicable to their role
Insurance / Billing - Although not a primary responsibility, will develop key skills in navigating insurances and acquiring appreciation on how to engage with them appropriately. Collecting and verifying patient billing information. Posts insurance payments, investigates denials and follow up with insurance companies for non-payment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Work type- office environment. Position requires extensive phone and computer work. Hours are flexible; Monday-Friday 11am-7pm; every other Sunday 11-7pm, (when working Sundays will have Friday off)
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Below are important considerations
Must have excellent computer (Google/Excel) and must be able to meet the demands of a fast paced work environment
Must be able to be flexible to be at the offices (East Brunswick / Freehold / Little Silver) as needed
Proficiency with telephone, facsimile, and email
Candidates must possess excellent communications skills and attention to detail.
Ideal - Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance plans and/or Medicare procedures, and diagnosis coding preferred.
