We are looking for:
Your mission is to implement Solvay Novecare HPC Skin Care strategy, by developing a business in the Skin Care Ingredients market in North America.
The North America business development manager for skin care will be responsible for the overall growth and strategic development of key skin care accounts. Based in North America, you will coordinate all communication and oversee all short term projects and long term strategic priorities for the accounts. You will manage an existing base & develop new business. This includes gathering business information, developing commercial tactical plans, and executing these plans in order to generate expanded growth for the company.
Critical to our Beauty Care business growth ambitions, the position is about developing the skin care segment by directly handling key skin care customers and driving and supporting the sales forces and distributor in NA.
You will work with regional NA sales managers and distributors, and steering our operational marketing initiatives, ultimately translating into new sales and profitable contribution margins.

Business development and Skin care BDM sales support:
Manage direct key accounts for skin care products in North America.
Build and maintain strong relationships through proactive communication and regular visits to discuss existing business & commercial opportunities in targeted applications. Achieve KPI objectives according to global marketing & pricing strategy, as well as commercial guidelines. Act as a key contact point for customers and educate them on products, applications, and trends. Maintain and continuously improve knowledge about products, applications and markets in the industry. Evaluate and propose innovative solutions for customer problems and coordinate with internal resources (R&I, etc.) when needed to meet customer requests/demands and ensure issues are resolved
Support the NA sales team and distribution network as BDM (business development manager) for skin care
Manage the development of opportunity pipe for Skin Care in NA. Grow Sales/ICM and deliver budget delivery targets.

This category of value added ingredients is set to grow globally above Beauty Care market average, sustained by multiple demands for circular/renewable ingredients, performance and sensoriality.

You will bring:
With strong development mindset, strategic thinking, and technology/ingredients/formulation background, the skin care North America BDM interfaces with multiple stakeholders both internally (sales, marketing, R&I, regulatory) as well as externally, positioning Solvay as an innovation specialty ingredients supplier and solutions provider.
Scientific and technical background in chemistry ,formulation, consumer markets, with previous experience in Skin Care market. Understanding of skin science / skin biological mechanisms.
Business/marketing background (MBA, or on job business experience), with more than 5 years marketing or sales experience in Beauty Care / Skin Care.
Hunter / entrepreneurial spirit, driven by delivery of business results. Strong team player and ability to navigate in complex organizations.
Experience with product launch in the Beauty Care market, development of 5 year strategic roadmap/operational marketing plan.
Strong communication skills, ability to create presentations, communicate marketing and technical information to a broad audience.

The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $103,360 to $129,200 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
