YWCA Princeton seeks to hire a full time Major Gifts and Grant Manager to join the development team to support the YWCA Princeton in the development and implementation of a comprehensive fundraising pipeline. The Manager will help grow strategic relationships with individuals and corporate partners to further YWCA PrincetonÆs mission by generating revenue, gifts in-kind, and more. The Manager will also support foundation fundraising efforts across the YWÆs program areas, serving as a key member of a development team dedicated to strategizing ways to connect donors with their philanthropic interests and the organizationÆs priorities.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Corporate Partnership Program
With Director of Development, plan, implement, and grow partnership program
Serve as lead for the management of ongoing cultivation and stewardship of donors
Build and maintain a portfolio of major corporate donors with a goal of securing major gifts
Identify and initiate relationships with prospective corporate partners
Create giving campaigns for corporations
Manage corporate volunteer projects and corporate responsibility initiatives
Solicit corporate sponsors to fulfill event fundraising goals
Grants Management
Develop a deep understanding of the history, structure, objectives, programs, and financial needs of YWCA Princeton
Perform prospect research and qualify grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, organizations, and government agencies
Draft grant proposal and report packages based on funding requirements
With Director of Development, create and update as needed boilerplate language to streamline efforts
Maintain grants calendar and internal forecasting of committed, pending, and upcoming submissions
Engage in grant stewardship, cultivation, and regular communications with foundation staff
Individual Giving
Cultivate, solicit and steward a portfolio of small donors ($1 - $199)
With Development Team, implement strategy to deepen existing donor connections toYWCA Princeton, with particular attention paid to transforming small donors into monthly donors
Participate in planning Annual Fund appeal outreach that focuses on segmentation
With Director of Development, identify donors with the potential to increase their giving and move along their journey to mid-level donors ($200 - $999)
With Director of Development, build monthly donor program, with special benefits and recognition
Manage personal touchpoints for monthly donors, with particular attention paid to potential major donors
Data and Analytics
Utilize YWCA PrincetonÆs donor database (Blackbaud/RaiserÆs Edge) to consistently manage and track all grant and donor activities
Generate reports and fundraising metrics monthly to the Director of Development
Communications, Marketing & Events
Work with Director of Development on marketing efforts related to grantors and donor recognition
Assist in design of programmatic, events, and donor collateral
Assist Director of Development with events as needed.
Skills and Requirements:
Minimum 3 û 5 years of experience with successful grant writing, reporting, and management as well as corporate relationships
Strategic fundraising professional with the demonstrated ability to meet goals in a fast- paced, high-impact environment
Strong oral and written communication skills to support grantor and corporate relationship-building, donor stewardship strategies, and organization-wide marketing efforts
BachelorÆs degree required
Working knowledge of RaiserÆs Edge, DonorPerfect, or another CRM strongly preferred
Strong alignment with the YWCAÆs mission
Experienced relationship manager with internal and external stakeholders
Innovative problem-solver with the ability to be creative, flexible, detail-oriented, and well- organized
Event coordination experience a plus
Individual giving experience a plus
Graphic design experience a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
