The 1980’s experienced the start of healthcare consolidation. Insurers looked to alternative options for hospitalizations in order to create positive patient outcomes in a cost effective manner. Healthcare Consultants, Inc., D/B/A Newborn Nurses was created in order to meet these criteria and to provide compassionate, highly skilled nursing care for children being discharged quicker and sicker from the hospital. Newborn Nurses was one of the first home care companies that provided around the clock care for ventilator dependent children at home. Home care was a new concept that was instrumental in shifting care for acute conditions of sick children to chronically ill children who became clinically stable and thus came to know family life at home.

Over time, Newborn Nurses evolved to care for patients of all ages whether acutely or chronically ill. Our pediatric patients grew to become adults, and many were discharged after achieving optimum clinical status. Our highly skilled nurses provide world class care to patients of all ages. Newborn Nurses experienced organic growth over the years, and now provides other services in addition to the clinical component. They include: population health, revenue cycle management, case management, disease management, behavioral health, mental health and coaching. Supplemental staffing of our clinical staff is provided to various school districts throughout New Jersey and also to the prison system in Mercer County.
